Board-Certified, Fellowship Trained Interventional Radiologist
Dr. Aaron Kovaleski moved to Denver in the summer of 2018 after previously working in Richmond, Virginia, and Pensacola, Florida. During his tenure at each location, he developed and grew several treatment programs for liver cancer and peripheral artery disease (PAD). With each stop, he honed his extensive skill set in the treatment of peripheral vascular disease, uterine fibroids, pelvic issues, and more. Upon moving to Denver, he quickly established himself as a leader in endovascular PAD therapies, growing one of the largest vascular disease treatment programs in the state. He was an Emergency physician for several years before entering his radiology training. His ER background has given him clinical and diagnostic expertise, making him unique to most others in his field.
Dr Aaron Kovaleski: Meet the Expert
Dr. Aaron Kovaleski is a board-certified, fellowship-trained Vascular and Interventional Radiologist and leader in his field. He has performed thousands of endovascular interventions and specializes in therapies for Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD), uterine fibroids, benign prostate enlargement, liver cancer, spinal compression fractures, among other things. The majority of his practice consists of lower extremity revascularization to prevent limb amputation; uterine fibroid embolization to help women with severe pain and bleeding; prostate artery embolization to provide men with a lower risk, non-surgical option for the ever-present benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Dr. Kovaleski works closely with several rural hospitals to provide interventional services to underserved populations and critical access areas. He is also certified in wound care and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, and works closely with multiple wound care centers in the state. He continues to do research and contribute to evidence-based medicine, with his most recent publication occurring in 2023 in the field of PAD intervention.
Beyond Medicine
Dr. Kovaleski is a proud father. When he’s not working, he spends as much time as possible with his young son, whom he uses as an excuse to buy himself toys and wear costumes. His other interests include dad jokes, useless trivia, NFL football, movies, fine dining, not-so-fine dining, traveling, reading books, people watching, music, and other nerdy things including comic books and documentaries.
